Tri-County's World Class Training Center Offers
Training Courses During Industry Appreciation Week

CONTACT: JOHN BENSON, EXT. 1717

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9/12/2002
(By Lisa Garrett)

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College will present three days of training seminars and networking opportunities during the sixth annual S.C. Industry Appreciation Week (September 23 – 27, 2002).

"In appreciation of our business and industrial partnerships, the World Class Training Center will present seminars addressing timely topics to benefit our valued industrial partners at a significant cost reduction," said John Benson, director of the World Class Training Center. "It's our way of saying thank you to industry for locating here and providing employment for the citizens of Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties," he added.

"In response to specific requests, several evening seminars will be offered for those associates whose work prohibits them from attending during the day," he added.

Tri-County faculty, as well as consultants from throughout the Southeast, will teach this year's seminars. Course topics include interpersonal skills, Kepner Tregoe, an internationally-acclaimed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making methodology, and ISO 9001: 2000, a revised quality standard for those industries who are certified under ISO 9000.

Benson urges industry representatives to register early for the classes they plan to attend. Seating capacity will be limited. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact Catherine Vinson at 646-1720 at the College, or e-mail her at cvinson@tctc.edu
