Photographer Charlie Jordan Showcases his Works

PENDLETON --- Photographer Charlie Jordan will showcase his portraiture at the Anderson County Arts Council through June 30.
Jordan, who heads the Radio and Television Broadcasting Department at Tri-County Technical College, has been a photographer for more than 20 years, teaches photography and has a wedding and portrait studio in Townville.
Several years ago, he was awarded a fellowship degree in photography from the South Carolina Professional Photographers Association. He was one of only two photographers to receive the associate fellow and the fellow simultaneously. He is an 18-year member of the association.
The previous year Jordan received first-place honors in the wedding album category of the Association's annual competition. He also won the Fuji Masterpiece Award for best wedding album in the state. In 1995 he won first-place honors in the men's portraiture category.
In addition, Jordan's article and photos about Lamar Williams, a Greenville background painter, have been featured in an issue of In Photo, a bimonthly international magazine.
The son of Imogene Jordan of Hartwell, Georgia, and the late B. B. Jordan, Mr. Jordan grew up in Hartwell, graduated from Hart County High School and entered the University of Georgia where he received a degree in Radio, TV and Film. He has been the head of Tri-County's Radio and Television Broadcasting Department for the past 30 years.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have one son, Benjamin. They reside in Townville.
