Multicultural Programs Series Continues

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College's Multicultural Programs Series continues this month, beginning with a lecture about Zimbabwe, the largest archaeological site in Africa.
All events will be held in Oconee Hall Auditorium and are free to the public. The calendar is as follows:
February 9 12:20 1:15 p.m., Dr. James Burns, Clemson University professor of African History, will present "Great Zimbabwe," a slide lecture/presentation about his recent visit to the largest archaeological site in Africa.
February 22 9:35 10:57 a.m., Barry Washington, S.C.'s first male home economics graduate, will speak on African American Male Mentoring.
February 24 -- 11:30 a.m., an encore performance by the Celebration Gospel Ensemble who recently performed with BeBe Winans at the State Museum in Columbia.
March 9 11:15 12:37 p.m., "Quilts Like My Mama Made," Laurel Horton, master quilter, will discuss unique quilt making styles of African Americans.
March 14 -- 12:45 1:45 p.m. and March 15, 12 1 p.m., Cultural Spotlight Video, Irish Americans.
March 29 11 a.m. 2 p.m., Multicultural Celebration, The Student Center Mall Area will become a global village for a day of fun, food and fellowship
