Tri-County Offers Nurse Aide, Medical
Business, Health Unit Coordinator Classes

PENDLETON --- Tri-County Technical College has scheduled an 84-hour nurse aide class to begin February 17 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Anderson. The class will run through March 16, and participants will meet Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuition for the course is $325.

Other classes offered by Tri-County's Health Care Consortium are:

The Medical Business Certificate Program will begin March 1 on campus. This program prepares students for an entry-level position in health care offices and medical records departments. Classes include:
Medical Terminology will meet March 1 – 22, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m., $150 (includes book).
Communication/Legal Issues/Professionalism will meet March 27 – May 1, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m., $190.
Finance/Billing/Clinical will meet May 8 – June 7, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m., $190.

Health Unit Coordinator classes begin February 24 and run through April 27. This entry-level course prepares individuals to function as clerical assistants (ward clerks) in the health care setting. The classes meet on qThursdays on campus from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., and the cost is $200.
