Ray Belcher Receives Adjunct Faculty
Presidential Award at Tri-County Technical College

PENDLETON --- Ray Belcher, a history instructor at Tri-County Technical College, is the recipient of the 2002 Adjunct Faculty Presidential Award at the College.
This award is given annually at the faculty/staff convocation to the adjunct faculty member who is recognized for excellence in teaching, who has consistently high student evaluations and who supports the philosophy and goals of the College.
Mr. Belcher has been teaching history classes within Tri-County's Arts and Sciences Division for 10 years. His experience in postsecondary education (since the early 1980's) has been as a private tutor and an evening tutor in the Career Services Division at Greenville Technical College. Prior to that he taught history at Woodmont High School and science at Johnson Middle School in York.
He holds a master's degree in Education and a bachelor's in History from Furman University.
"Ray Belcher exemplifies all the values this College seeks in its faculty, and he has done so consistently for many years," said Dr. Della VanHuss, humanities department head at Tri-County. "The Division is proud to count him among our own."
Mr. Belcher lives in Greer with his wife, Delaine. They have two daughters.
