Ricky Hayes Receives Outstanding Graduate Award

PENDLETON --- Ricky Dean Hayes received the Textile Management Technology department's highest award at Tri-County Technical College's annual textile scholarship awards banquet.

Hayes, of Easley, received the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance Textile Council Outstanding Graduate Award. This award is given to the student with highest GPA and who will be graduating this year. Hayes received a plaque and a $200 award.

Hayes has more than 25 years of weaving experience. He has lived in Easley almost 25 years and is a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Easley. He is the son of the late J. C. Hayes and Anne Hayes.

The Outstanding Graduate of the Year Award recognizes a student who excels academically, demonstrates good citizenship and is committed to keeping textiles the number-one industry in South Carolina.
