Tri-County Faculty and Staff Receive
Awards for Service to College and State

PENDLETON - Seven Tri-County Technical College employees
were recognized for three decades of service to the College and/or
the State at the annual spring convocation.
Linda Elliott, of Seneca, vice president for institutional
advancement, Glenn Hellenga, of Townville, director of the Workforce
Investment Act program; Gracie McLaughlin, of Anderson, Office
Systems Technology department head; and Dr. Jim Wood, of Clemson,
who recently retired as photonics project director, received
30-year pins for their longtime service to the College and State.
Honored for 30 years of service to the State were Frank Breazeale,
of Clemson, science department head; Bill Larsen, of Pendleton,
Electronics Engineering Technology instructor; and Gary Spangenberg,
of Central, Industrial Electronics Technology instructor.
Honored for 25 years of service to the College were Gaynelle
Harrison, of Seneca, a counselor for the Workforce Investment
Act program, and Brenda Rice, of Anderson, secretary to the Vice
President for Student Affairs.
Receiving 20-year pins for service to the State and the College
were David Bedingfield, of Pendleton, Business Technology instructor;
Rick Bismack, of Anderson, media resources director; and Denise
Hall, of Travelers Rest, director of printing services.
Receiving 20-year pins for service to the College were Janis
Cox, of Pendleton, Computer Technology instructor; and Elizabeth
K. Gambrell, of Anderson, coordinator of testing for the Comprehensive
Studies Division.
Judy Moore, of Pendleton, secretary for TriO, received a pin
for 20 years of State service.
Recognized for 15 years of service to the College were Faye
Allen, of Williamston, director of fiscal affairs; Sue Dacus,
of Anderson, office manager for the Student Records department;
Linda Minish, of Anderson, records specialist; Robin Pepper,
of Walhalla, math instructor; Lisa Poore, of Anderson, personnel
assistant/switchboard operator; Phyllis Shealy, of Anderson,
office manager for the Academic Support Services Division; Julius
Shirley, of Anderson, HVAC mechanic in the Maintenance department;
and Phyllis Turner, of Pendleton, training and development director
for the World Class Training Center.
Receiving 10-year pins for service to the College and the
State were Anne Bryan, of Anderson, secretary for the Vice President
for Academic Affairs; Karen Culp-Linscott, of Walhalla, chemistry
instructor; Mary Johnston; of Sunset, director of Alumni Relations;
William Ligon, of Pendleton, security officer; Linda Payne, of
Seneca, admissions specialist; Pat Simes, of Anderson, secretary
for the Workforce Investment Act program; and Brian Swords, of
Liberty, coordinator of computer training/IT for the Continuing
Education Division.
Amanda Blanton, of Seneca, director of collaboration and special
projects, received a pin for 10 years of service to the State,
and Connie Thibodeau, of Easley, associate degree Nursing instructor,
received a 10-year College service pin.
