Remote Accuplacer Testing Form

If you cannot come to campus to test, there are two options for taking your placement test remotely:

  • Option A) If you have access to:
    • Desktop computer, laptop, or Chromebook. (Tablets and cell phones do not meet the requirement)
    • A working built-in or external webcam and microphone
    • Internet speed at least 2 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload (Hotspots are not recommended)

You may take your placement test virtually.  After receipt of your remote test request, TCTC will generate a voucher within the Accuplacer system (Please allow 24 to 48 hours processing time. Do not send multiple requests). You will receive an email from Accuplacer indicating your voucher number, valid voucher date range, fee information, and appointment scheduling instructions from the authorized Accuplacer testing vendor. 

  • Option B) If you are outside the TCTC service area and would like to test in a proctored environment, Please contact the local testing center and verify that your chosen testing site is a member of the Accuplacer remote testing network. We cannot provide a voucher for a non-participating institution. Keep in mind; many sites have limited seating and are not providing remote testing at this time. Failure to provide the name of a participating center below will delay receipt of your voucher. Once we receive your remote test request, TCTC will generate a voucher within the Accuplacer system (Please allow 24 to 48 hours processing time. Do not send multiple requests). You will receive an email from Accuplacer indicating your voucher number, valid voucher date range, fee information, and appointment scheduling instructions. Proctoring fees and testing hours vary based on location.

Students requesting remote testing vouchers will be issued vouchers for the full Accuplacer test including the Reading, Writing and Math sections.  Exemptions for any portion of the test will be granted only for those requesting retest or those who have documented college credit awarded on their TCTC accounts by the TCTC Student Data Center via official college transcripts or AP/IB score reports at the time of the voucher request.  The Testing Center will not re-issue vouchers after transcripts have been received. To confirm awarded credits prior to submitting your voucher request, please contact the Student Data Center at registrar@tctc.edu.

This policy does not apply to the following student types: Non-Degree/Transient, Dual Enrollment and iBest students.
