ORIENTATION

FOR CREDIT-SEEKING STUDENTS, orientation is mandatory at Tri-County, as it's in this setting where you will get important information that will help you navigate the College and the resources we have available to help you succeed, meet with an advisor and register for your upcoming classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Online Student Orientation Questions

Students will need to complete the online orientation registration form. Then within 2 business days, students will receive an email with instructions (to the email address provided on their registration form) on how to access the online student orientation.

Yes! Orientation is mandatory for all new, transfer and returning students who have not attended TCTC within the last academic year.

The online orientation should take approximately 60 minutes to complete.

On your online orientation registration form, you have the option to select your preferred virtual or in-person group advising and registration session where you will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes. If you selected that “None of the above dates work for my schedule. Please contact me about future sessions.,” you will be contacted within 2 business days, to get scheduled for a future virtual or in-person group advising and registration session.

Yes! The college has created WIFI-enabled parking lots for students to be able to drive up and connect. These parking lots will be located on each of our primary campuses (Pendleton Campus, Anderson Campus, Easley Campus, and Oconee Campus).

Students and employees are also encouraged to reach out to their local telecommunications and cell phone providers in regards to free services that are being offered to customers. Several companies are offering assistance with internet access.

Admission Questions

Contact the Recruitment, Admissions and Orientation Office at 864-646-1550 or info@tctc.edu. If your address has changed since you applied to the College, please let us know to ensure that your acceptance letter is sent to the correct address.

Review the MyTCTC Login Instructions and login at http://account.tctc.edu. Your MyTCTC username and password were provided in your acceptance letter. If you have any questions or have trouble logging in, contact the Service Desk at 864-646-1779 or servicedesk@tctc.edu.

If you are unable to access your MyTCTC or have any questions about navigating MyTCTC, contact the Service Desk at 864-646-1779 or servicedesk@tctc.edu. If you need your login information, you can also call the Recruitment, Admissions and Orientation Office at 864-646-1550 and they can provide your login information over the phone.

You may choose to retest before participating in orientation. Go to Placement Testing for the Testing Center hours, practice questions and testing resources.

Academic and Class Registration Questions

Summer 2022 (Session A) classes start on May 16. Fall 2022 (Session A) classes start on August 22. Please review the College's Academic Calendars for important academic dates and deadlines. Please note - there are various sessions offered throughout each term, please review the academic calendar for all term start and end dates.

Course registration occurs during your advising and registration appointment following the completion of your online orientation. You will not be able to register for classes unless you have completed the required online orientation.

Review the Schedule of Classes by selecting the registration term (Summer or Fall 2022). The Schedule of Classes allows you to search by specific course, campus location and distance learning options. The link is also available at the bottom of the TCTC homepage.

Financial Aid and Bill Questions

If you have any questions about completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before attending orientation, learn more at Applying for Financial Aid or contact Financial Aid at 864-646-8282 or tccentral@tctc.edu.

TCTC also offers FAFSA Fridays, every Friday, from 10am to 1pm in Ruby Hicks Hall, room 211 on the Pendleton campus (no appointment is necessary). More information about FAFSA can also be found at fafsa.gov.
