Campus Resource Spotlights
Career and Employability Resources:
Student unsure if they are in the right major or are interested in student employment?
Career and Employability Resources has tools to help your student clarify their career plans by understanding their interests, personality and values as they relate to career planning. We offer career counseling, career information and computerized assessments. Our counselors are available by appointment and frequently on a walk-in basis. If your student is seeking full or part-time employment, we may also be able to help them with that. Local employers want our students and graduates and recognize that we have well-prepared and qualified students. For more information click here.
Student Support and Wellness Programs:
Student feeling stressed or overwhelmed?
Wellness Programs provides a variety of resources and support for students who are experiencing academic, personal, and financial barriers. Resources include access to free counseling, food resources, academic suspension recovery, emergency funds, health/wellness resources, and assistance with community referrals. The Wellness Programs office is located in the Student Support Suite, SSC 120 on the Pendleton Campus. If your student needs assistance, they should email wellness@tctc.edu or call 864-646-1569 to schedule an appointment to talk or meet with the Wellness staff. For more information click here.
Success Coaches:
Student has many questions and unsure who to talk to?
Success Coaches are an important part of a student’s support network. They help students understand TCTC processes and procedures, share information about campus resources and services, and explain how to navigate events that may affect their academic experience. Success Coaches offer Coach Check-In meetings each semester to help with advising preparation, transfer assistance, academic progress, changing majors, and other general questions. A student can identify their assigned Success Coach by selecting the “My Success Network” tile in MyTCTC. Success Coaches offer in-person, phone, and virtual appointments. The primary goal of the Success Coach is to ensure that the student understands and is comfortable in the college environment. Encouraging Success Coach meetings helps students become better self-advocates by becoming aware of all the resources TCTC has to help them succeed. For more information click here.
