Recycling on the Pendleton Campus

Tri-County Technical College is making recycling available on the Pendleton Campus thanks to a partnership with Clemson University’s Recycling Services.

Recycling bins will be placed around campus starting in December 2022. There is a recycling bin for paper, one for plastic/glass and another for metal. The fourth bin is for waste that goes directly to a landfill.

While many items are recyclable, some are not. Check out the list below of what can and cannot be recycled.

Starting in February 2023, you will see a reduction of trash bins in places like classrooms and employee offices. Reducing small trash bins throughout campus encourages greater use of the larger, centralized recycling and waste bins. This practice is used at places like Clemson University and BMW Manufacturing with great success, and we hope to replicate that success here at Tri-County.

At this time, our recycling initiative is limited to the Pendleton Campus due to the proximity of Clemson University’s Recycling Services. However, we hope to expand recycling to our community campuses in the future.

Thank you for doing your part to reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible. These small changes can have a tremendous impact on our community and our planet.
