PENDLETON --- The Tri-County Technical College Chorus and Band will present its fall concert Friday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in the Marshall Parker Auditorium on the Pendleton Campus.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of conductor and music instructor Julia West, the concert will feature a performance of holiday favorites by the choir and band, led by accompanist/pianist Cory Dodgens.

“This will be a fun evening for guests and for our students who may be stressed right before final exams begin,” said West.  “We will present a nice slice of holiday music that includes the classics and some pop Broadway favorites from Anastasia, Les Miserables and Dogfight,” she added.

The concert will open with Carol of the Bells, followed by other classic holiday selections, as well as a jazzy version of Jingle Bells and The 12 Days After Christmas.

Other performances will be Royals by Lorde, Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder and a solo performance of Journey to the Past from Anastasia.

West added that although the concert is free, donations to the College’s Music Scholarship Fund are welcome. The goal is to raise money for an endowed scholarship that will benefit students who want to enroll in the chorus class but cannot afford it.
