Biomedical Device Certification

Tri-County Technical College is collaborating with SC Biotechnology Industry Organization (SCBIO) to offer a short-term certification program that will give students an overview of the Life Sciences Industry AND a potential opportunity for interviews at some of the most recognizable companies in our area.

Classroom and skills training will focus on the manufacturing of medical devices, such as pacemakers, sutures, etc. Topics will include:

Introduction to quality system regulations for medical devices (ISO 13485)
Emphasis on basic industrial measuring tools
Focus on 21st century skills needed in the medical device manufacturing industry

This 36-hour program is funded by SCBIO for residents of Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties. Space is limited. Registrations accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Previous industry experience not necessary.
