Power Line Worker Certification Program

Do you enjoy working outside? Now is your time to become a Power Line Worker. The Power Line Worker curriculum includes:

Course 1: Basic Construction Skills (2 weeks) includes NCCER Core Safety, OSHA 10, and American Heart Association (CPR)

Course 2: Power Line Worker Level 1 (10 weeks)

Power Line Worker Safety
Introduction to electric current
Introduction to electric theory
Climbing Wooden Poles
Climbing structures other than wood
Tools of the Trade
Aerial framing
Utility Service Equipment
Rigging, setting and pulling poles
Trenching, excavating and boring equipment
Introduction to electrical test equipment
Alternating current and three phase
Cable and conductor install and remover

Optional: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)
