Registration Fees:
Students are only considered "registered" once payment is received. Participants are not guaranteed a spot in the class until the registration fee has been received by Tri-County Technical College and the student has received a registration confirmation from the College.
Refund Policy:
The registration fee is refundable if cancellation for a registrant is received by 5:00 pm EST on the fifth business day* prior to the start of the class. Participants may be substituted at any time prior to the course at no extra cost; however, you must notify the College prior to the start date of the course.
*Business days are Monday through Friday but do not include College holidays when the College is closed for business.
Lodging:
Hotel registration is separate from course registration. Lodging details for various course locations are listed below.

Required Supplies:
Calculator and pencils
Dress Code:
Lecture sessions: Informal/comfortable
Laboratory or field testing sessions: Long pants and closed-toe shoes required (no sandals).
Retesting:
If a participant attends a course and does not pass the written exam, but he/she makes a grade of at least 60/100, he/she will be allowed to take a retest*. The dates/times of the retest will be provided to each participant eligible to take a retest. The retest must be taken within 30 days of receiving notification of the retest dates/times.
*Retests are only allowed for students taking a course with an exam. There is no retest option for individuals taking an "exam only" re-certification other than Coarse Aggregate Level 1, which has no associated course.
Retaking a Class:
If a participant either makes a grade of less than 60/100 on the original test or fails the retest, that participant must retake the entire class.
Replacement Certification Cards:
If an individual needs a replacement card or cards, please email the request to conted@tctc.edu. There will be a $10.00 fee for the requested replacement cards; however, multiple cards may be included in the same request for a single $10.00 fee.
Application for SCDOT Technician Certification Class:
At the start of each course, all course participants will be asked to read and sign the following form called "Application for SCDOT Technician Certification" If you answer "yes" to Question #2 on this form, your certification will be subject to approval by the SCDOT Technician Certification Board even if you pass the written exam.
