What is a college transfer fair and what does it mean for me as the student?

The Transfer Fair is your opportunity to gather information about several colleges and universities at once to help make an informed decision about where to continue your education.  The schools are looking for transfer students and they want to talk to you!

  • What is required for admission (GPA, SAT/ACT scores, number of credit hours, etc.)?  If my desired program is competitive, what additional items do I need to submit?
  • What specific courses do I need to complete prior to transfer?
  • What time frame should I keep in mind for applying?

Majors/Programs Questions: 

  • Do you offer (major/minor) program?  If so, are there specific details that you can share with me?
  • What type of transfer partnerships do you have with Tri-County Technical College (TCTC)?
  • What are the most popular majors on your campus?

 

Career Assistance Question: 

  • What assistance does your school offer for resume writing, interview preparation, internships, and job searches?

 

Tuition Questions:

  • What is the tuition/cost of attendance at your school?
  • Are there any scholarships available for transfer students? 
  • What are the scholarship/financial aid application deadlines? 

Campus Life Questions: 

  • Is on-campus housing available/required at your school?
  • What type of transportation or parking does your school have?
  • What support services are available?
  • What kind of recreational activities are available on campus?
