One thing I would tell my younger self when it comes to thinking about a career is to explore subjects that seem unfamiliar to see if there are things out there that I may enjoy that I never would have thought about. Then once you feel passionate on certain topics, continue to study those topics to make a career out of something you love.

Each site within BASF has its own community engagement program and finds ways to contribute to the communities we are a part of. We offer community advisory panels to educate and engage neighbors and people in our communities. BASF provides a wide array of scholarships to college-bound students who plan on a career in STEM. We also offer many educational opportunities such as partnerships with local schools to create individualized programming. Volunteer opportunities vary site-to-site but many of our employees volunteer with the Red Cross, at local food banks, with non-profit organizations such as Junior Achievement and more. We offer community clean-up days after storms and provide many community services. We also make significant donations to community organizations such as the United Way.
