Applying for Aid

You could receive money from the federal government, the state of South Carolina, and Tri-County Technical College that can help you pay for college. To apply or renew your financial aid, your first step is to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA® (include Tri-County's school code: 004926).

You've Completed Your FAFSA. What's Next?

  • Check out this helpful video to see what happens.
  • You will be notified by email and through your MyTCTC student portal once Tri-County has received your completed FAFSA and if any additional paperwork is required.
  • Check your financial aid information through the "My Financial Aid" tile on the MyTCTC student portal.
  • If selected for the verification process, follow these steps.
  • Review the Terms & Conditions.

*Note: If you are in default on any student loans or not making Satisfactory Academic Progress, aid cannot be awarded until this has been cleared.
