Advising begins for summer and fall courses 2/23/2026
Registration opens for summer and fall courses 3/23/2026
Students must meet with academic advisor before RAN (registration access number) can be set.
Academic Advisors provide students with specialized, personal contact and seek to meet student needs in the following ways:
In MyTCTC, go to the Starfish tile to see scheduling options with your advisor.
Most advisors have both options. You will see availability in the Starfish tile.
Review your degree requirements in DegreeWorks, located in MyTCTC in your Student Profile tile. Identify remaining courses and prepare a list of courses to discuss with your advisor. Be prepared to provide your T#. Some advisors have pre-advising tasks required and will communicate that via email if needed. Also, prepare any questions you have ahead of time so that you make the most of your appointment. If you are planning to transfer to another institution after TCTC, please bring information on your target major and institution. (Bridge to Clemson students should follow the appropriate Bridge to Clemson curriculum guides for course options.)
You are required to meet with your academic advisor each semester before the registration period. You may schedule additional appointments, as needed.
Students must go to TC Central and meet with a Success Coach to make a major change. Bridge to Clemson students must meet with a Bridge Coordinator in the Bridge Programs Office.
If you are interested in transferring to a public institution in SC, you may access the SC Trac link under the Quick Links on this page. If you are interested in transferring to a private institution in SC, you may access the Transfer Program Opportunities link. It is important for you to carefully plan courses that will transfer directly into the major you plan to pursue at another college. You may work with your academic advisor and/or contact a transfer admission representative at the college you are interested in.
