Commencement/Graduation Application Information
All information regarding specific graduation can be accessed below in the Commencement Details section. For those students participating in graduation, instructions are typically mailed a month in advance of commencement. The instructions may also be found in the Commencement Details section below.
Applying for Graduation
The student’s name, T-Number, and current major should fill in automatically when the student is logged in and clicks on the graduation application link. The "Expected completion of program" should be selected based upon the commencement ceremony the student would like to participate in, or for those not participating, have their credentials mailed. Students participating should select "Yes" under "Will you be participating in the commencement ceremony" – the height and weight information should be included for cap and gown.
If the student is applying for more than one credential, a new application will need to be completed for each degree, diploma, or certificate.
If the student is applying for a different degree, diploma, or certificate other than what is listed under the current major, a drop-down menu with other credential options is available for selection by choosing "I plan on graduating with a different major".
If a student has additional courses from another institution that are required for graduation that have not been transferred yet, they may choose the "Yes" option under "Do you have additional course(s) from another institution..." that are required for graduation. The institution may be selected by the drop-down menu that will appear when selecting "Yes". The course information may be completed in the open field box.
Students must sign the graduation application electronically at the bottom of the application page and choose the submit button.
Application Deadline
Applications will not be accepted after the graduation application deadline. If the student misses the application deadline, the next available commencement will be available on the drop-down menu beside "Expected completion of program".
Cap and Gown - Academic Regalia
Only those graduates participating in the commencement ceremony will receive academic regalia. Graduates must present a picture ID in order to pick-up their cap and gown. There is no additional charge to participate in the commencement ceremony or for the cap and gown.
Financial Obligations
Satisfaction of all fees and financial obligations owed to the institution is required for graduation. Emails and/or calls from the Business Office will be sent/made to graduation candidates who owe a financial obligation to the College.
