FERPA is a federal law that protects the privacy of college students’ educational records, while also granting them specific rights over those records. Students may:

Directory information is student information authorized by FERPA that the college may release at its discretion without the consent of the student. Directory information at Tri-County Technical College is defined as:
Students may withhold disclosure of directory information under FERPA through a written request to the Registrar’s Office by the end of the second week of class each semester.
Personally Identifiable Information
Tri-County Technical College will disclose personally identifiable information from a student’s education records only when the eligible student has provided written consent to the College with the following exceptions:
